The mission of the Drew Lewis Foundation at The Fairbanks is to improve the quality of life in under-served urban neighborhoods.  To accomplish this, the Foundation partners with existing area organizations to establish community hubs, which serve to boost the economic and physical wellness of neighborhood residents of all ages.  Drew Lewis Foundation, in partnership with Missouri State and Drury University, was selected to be supported by The Northwest Project funded through CFO, Musgrave Foundation, and Ball Foundation.  This collaboration incorporates additional area organizations including Great Circle, CU Community Credit Union, Springfield Community Gardens, Community Partnership of the Ozarks, Life360Fairbanks, Springfield Public Schools, OACAC, OTC, and Consumer Credit Counseling Services.  The Northwest Project works by addressing poverty using intensive case management in conjunction with poverty prevention/poverty addressing programming for 18+ months to make a real difference. Thursdays @ The Fairbanks: Programming at The Fairbanks occurs each Thursday night.  A Community Dinner is served at 5:30 pm in the gymnasium, followed by programming and resources.
